Reporting to project leadership, you'll lead the day-to-day HSE function and set the safety standard across the project. You'll be comfortable holding the line on safety while keeping delivery on track.
Your focus will include:
- Leading day-to-day HSE activities across the project site
- Promoting and driving a proactive safety culture
- Supporting project leadership with WHS compliance and risk management
- Developing and improving HSE systems, procedures and documentation
- Conducting audits, inspections and incident investigations
- Reviewing and approving SWMS and risk assessments
- Delivering inductions, toolbox talks and safety training
- Building strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and site personnel
- Mentoring and supporting junior HSE team members
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives across the project
About You You're an established HSE professional with a strong track record on major projects across renewables, resources, mining, civil or utilities. You're credible with both leadership and the workforce, and comfortable delivering and assessing training.
You'll have:
- Significant senior HSE experience on major projects
- A relevant WHS / OHS qualification (Diploma, Advanced Diploma or equivalent)
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or equivalent)
- Strong knowledge of WA WHS legislation and Australian Standards
- Experience with ISO 45001 / 9001 / 14001 and accreditation (OFSC highly regarded)
- A current driver's licence and relevant site tickets
